2" Column Helix w/Copper Cap
This coil condenser is made from 1/4" O.D. refrigeration tubing with a 2" cap already silver soldered in place. Total length is 9-1/2" from cap to coil end. Coil length is approximately7-1/2". This has more than enough cooling capacity for a 2 inch still. The copper cap is equipped with a thermometer well (thermo-port). The inlet and outlet tubes are double wall thickness where they pass through the cap making this an extremely strong and reliable coil. Fits 2" copper column pipe.
Our solid copper coils, worms, reflux coils, or condensers are made one at a time and hand wound on a custom made mandrel so the tube can't kink while forming. Any joints are then silver brazed using the same techniques that refrigeration manufacturers use when building their equipment. This coil is not soft soldered and contains no lead so it should last a lifetime. Each coil is then cleaned, flushed inside and out and pressurized to ensure there are no leaks.
BTW, We don't use sand, salt or other fillers to form our coils so there is no clean-out required saving you an hour or two of your valuable time.
