He has over 37 years of actual hands on experience. At the same time most of the Hi Proof products crew also has ties to the HVAC Industry so you might say, "copper runs in our blood."

I have to chuckle when I see other still makers following our lead. A few of the things that we have been doing ever since I can remember on our flutes:
- We install drain valves on the bottom our copper parrots to make it easy to dump the fore-shots & tails while brewing. There's never a need to remove the parrot to dump out the nasty stuff.
- Making modular sectional columns so you can add or remove column sections. Modular columns offer more bang for your buck than the one-piece counterparts that others offer. This flexibility allows you to increase the proof in a single run. It also makes cleaning a breeze as you don't need a bottle brush that's as long as your arm.
- Our gin baskets are easy to use and make it a breeze to charge.
- Our copper flutes also use a very simple to operate valve system for the condenser cooling water. The valves individually control water to the primary as well as the secondary condensers for better control and you don't need to be a rocket scientist or watch a lengthy video to know how to work them. Easy-to-understand instructions come with our copper stills.
- Our copper secondary condensers have the vent situated so as not to catch your clothes as you walk past the column.
- We are continually researching, updating, and modifying whenever necessary so you will always have the best product available period.
- Lastly, if you want to wait 52+ weeks for a flute then naturally you are welcome to do so it's your money, I personally am not that patient of a guy. If you purchase a flute from Hi Proof Products you will receive it in a timely manner. And no, you don't have to be a hillbilly to own one of our flutes just ask the many guys and gals that own one.
