Special Considerations Granted To Home Distillers From The TTB
Fellow Hi Proof Community, friends, and family in these troubled times our team wishes you the best and prays that you stay safe. I'm sure you are all aware that there is currently a huge shortage of alcohol based hand sanitizer to help combat this virus. By distilling alcohol you have a tool that can help protect your friends as well as your loved ones. Break out those stills and get the mash ready!
The TTB (Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau ) has now opened the door for us to help keep America safe and show the world what home distillers are all about. 60% alcohol by volume will kill most every bad thing it comes into contact with. You can put it in small spray bottles as is or mix with skin softeners such as aloe to help keep your hands soft. A link to the letter from the TTB granting distilling privilege is attached for your reference. TTB link
The Hi Proof Products Team thanks you

Legalities & Safety:
Any person or entity that uses information or equipment provided by Hi Proof Products does so entirely at their own risk and accepts all liability concerning the use of the aforementioned equipment and information. Hi Proof Products does not sell alcohol nor promote illegal activity.
Please note that although we refer to our home distillers as moonshine stills, the units have many uses other than just making moonshine such as distillation of water, essential oils, vinegar, and fuel alcohol. Distillation itself is simply the process of boiling a substance that is comprised of different components, or fractions. Each of these fractions boils at a different temperature, therefore allowing you to separate them in order to isolate and collect a particular fraction. Alcohol distillation is the process of separating ethanol from water, and there is actually less methanol in distilled spirits than in fruit juice or wine. We also encourage you to engage in this practice safely and recommend using an electric heating element as opposed to an open flame.
