4" brass ferrule also known as a EZ-Flange is an inch in length and are perfect for soldering, brazing or welding to a 4" copper distilling column to mate to your keg or boiler. We make these ourselves using a CNC Machine for close tolerances.
Our ferrules are superior because they fit on the outside diameter of 4" copper and since the outside diameter of copper types M, L, K, and DWV are all the same ours will fit ALL types of copper pipe.
Again these ferrules WILL work with ALL types M, L, K, and DWV copper pipe and work well! No need to hammer them on either as they have a perfect fit..
Other ferrules that are made of copper or stainless steel fit the inside diameter of the copper pipe and since every type of copper has a different inside diameter they fit only one type which is the thinnest copper available type DWV. Stainless steel also requires special welding procedures.
