"BIG BERTHA" 4 Inch Copper Column Coil
If you are making your own distiller, moonshine still, E-85 or otherwise this will save you the time and hassles of winding and possibly ruining your own copper helix. This monster, heavy coil is made of 3/8" copper for maximum heat transfer in a 4" column.
This heavyweight coil starts out as one of our "MONSTER" 3" coils and we then take it a full step forward and wrap the inner coil with a 4" copper outer coil. We call this baby, "BIG BERTHA" and for good reason.
The coil will fit the inside of a 4" copper tube and the coil is 12" long overall. The stub outs are about 8" long making it easy to facilitate water connections to your column. This 3/8" diameter coil will give you tons more surface area than a 1/4" diameter counterpart plus you can move a lot more water through it to maximize reflux condensation of the alcohol.
To the best of our knowledge we are the only company that is winding and offering a 4" reflux coil and this baby is nice!
Each solid copper coil is wound on a custom made mandrel so the tube can't kink while forming. Any joints are then silver brazed using the same techniques that refrigeration manufacturers use when building their equipment. This coil is not soft soldered and contains no lead so it should last a lifetime. Each coil is then cleaned, flushed inside and out and pressurized to ensure there are no leaks.
BTW: We don't use sand, salt or other fillers to form our coils so there is no clean-out required saving you an hour or two of your valuable time.
