3" Copper Dephlegmator w/Thermometer & Push Connects
If you're making your own reflux still this dephlegmator is exactly what you need. This Dephlegmator (primary condenser) is to be used with a 3" column and with the exception of the sight glass assembly is 100% copper. Copper is preferred over stainless because it can remove sulphides while stainless steel cannot.
Equipped with 3/8" NPT water inlet and outlet to accommodate included push connect fittings. It is also equipped with a 1/2" NPT temperature well for the 3" analog temperature gauge included.
The Dephlegmator is the key to it all, without the Deflegmator it’s very difficult to create reflux. This unit allows the cool water to condense your alcohol vapor as it passes through the multiple internal copper tubes, allowing it to fall back to your column. Then the stacked perforated plates can do their job which allows you to purify your ethanol to 190 proof.
Each of our Dephlegmators is hand-crafted one-at-a-time at our facility right here in the USA. That allows us strict quality control unlike some who farm-out their components. We consider this a special order item and as such we make these as needed so expect some delay before your Dephlegmator is shipped. Please be patient, you won't be disappointed.
